Henry Thomas Mills

  General Notes:

on the 9 January 1943 Beatrice Maud `s husband Henry Thomas Mills was due to return from Iceland where he was stationed as a Royal Air Force volunteer, to attend the funeral of Beatrice. Fate had however another twist when the Liberator aircraft Henry was travelling on, when taking off from Reykjavic caught fire due to a petrol leak and when making an emergency landing crashed in to flames on the runway, killing nine of the fifteen crew and passengers on board including Henry who was buried at Reykjavic (Fossvogur) Cemetery

Henry married someone Beatrice Maud Barrell, daughter of Edwin Henry Barrell and Edith Louisa Figgins, on 11 Nov 1933 in St Peter's , Streatham. (Beatrice Maud Barrell was born in 1905 in 8 the Parade, Lambeth, London, christened on 13 Dec 1905 in St Mary the Less, Lambeth and died on 2 Jan 1943 in Lewisham Hospital.)
