Fanny Stripp
General Notes: Fanny was born in Fore Street, Bodmin in about 1854 over the grocers shop her father owned. When she was about 17 years old she spent one or two years at a dame school. Before her marriage she was an apprentice at a draper's shop in Tor Point, then Brighton. She went on to work in her Aunt's drapers shop in Looe. She was a member of the choir at the Congregational Church. Fanny married Mattias Lansdown on 11 Aug 1886 in Bodmin, Cornwall. (Mattias Lansdown was born Q4 1858 in Cardiff, Glamorgan and died Q4 1932 in Wellington, Somerset, England.) |
