They arrived at Fremantle on 20th August 1842, and shortly after Samuel Caporn with his sons, including Henry, and sons in law, started a carrying service on the Swan River, transporting goods by boat between Fremantle and Guildford. Henry Caporn married at Perth in 1852 to Amelia Schmidt, who had arrived in WA as a governess, aboard the "Mary Ann" in 1851.
