John married Mary Jane Kendall, daughter of William Kendall and Elizabeth Soloman, on 16 Feb 1878 in Queensbury, Holy Trinity, Yorkshire, England. (Mary Jane Kendall was born in 1853 in St Columb, Cornwall, christened on 25 Dec 1853 in Newlyn East, Cornwall and died on 19 May 1935 in Glendale, California, USA.)
