Christopher George Robert Breach
An Outdoor Officer of the 2nd Class at Customs House, London, before leaving England. A schoolbus driver, and partner in a grain elevator business in Hansboro, North Dakota. For reasons unknown at this time, he was living under the name of GEORGE DALE in North Dakota. He even applied for his immigration papers under this name. (Naturalized 1895.) My father's school records, newspaper articles, the census... ALL showed the BREACH family using the DALE name. In 1900 Census, Lucy had one child, George Herbert, and Reginald Albert Henry was living with them. Also there was niece, Caroline Schultze. In 1910, Lucy is recorded as having 4 children, 3 living. George H., Ernest F., and Reginald A. are recorded. The whole family disappears before the 1920 census.
Christopher married Lucy Anna Phillis Stevens on 15 Jun 1895 in Manitoba, Canada. (Lucy Anna Phillis Stevens was born about 1870 in Brighton and died on 2 Feb 1913 in Devil's Lake, North Dakota.) |
