he married Maria glaze in 1850 in the Parish Church in Kingswinford He was over 21 and Maria was 26. Joseph was from Rocks Hill and was a blacksmith. In 1891 joseph is living at 19 Potter St. He is 65 and his second wife is Mary 50. In 1901 he is still living at Potter St. and a retired labourer. it isnoted that he has been paralysed for the last few years.

Joseph married Maria Glaze, daughter of John Glaze and Eleanor Cartwright, on 10 Feb 1850 in Parish Church, Kingswinford, Stourbridge, Worcestershire. (Maria Glaze was christened on 2 Aug 1829 in Brierley Hill, Staffordshire and died on 27 Jan 1875 in Hill Street, Brierley Hill.)

Joseph next married Mary Ann Moore Q1 1877 in Dudley, Worcestershire. (Mary Ann Moore was born about 1840 in Herefordshire.)
